1.  What is the Art of Marriage?

The Art Of Marriage (AOM) is a two-day marriage weekend getaway for married couples, organized by the Family Life Committee.  Over these two days, couples go through six video-sessions that weaves together expert teaching, real-life stories, humorous vignettes, and more to portray both the challenges and the beauty of God’s design for marriages.  More information on the Art of Marriage can be found at




2.  Where is the event held?

The event is held at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru. Information on the hotel can be found at


3.  How do we get there?

Currently, we are planning for all participants to drive in or car-pool with other participants.  However, if the need arises, we will charter a bus.  While Singaporeans do not require a visa to enter Malaysia if intending to stay for up to 30 days, please ensure that your passports are valid for six months on entry into Malaysia.


4.  What will we be doing during the two days?

The timing in the following programme may be amended depending on participant needs.  The programme will be confirmed closer the date.



5.  How much do we have to pay for the event?

It costs S$330 for both couples.  However, the first 10 KKMC couples to sign up pay only S$290.

6.  What does the fee include?

The fee includes 2 lunches, 1 breakfast, 4 tea breaks, 2 event manuals, hotel accommodation, use of conference facilities and GST. It does not cover any dinners (which is personal time for the couples) and other expenses incurred by participants, for example travelling expenses, mini bar charges, room service and other food & beverage consumption not included in the hotel accommodation, and personal expenses.




7.  Is complimentary parking provided?

One complimentary multi­entry parking ticket per room is available at the hotel front desk.

9.  Is child minding services provided at the event? Can my helper watch my kids at the event while I attend?

The program is designed for the couples to take time away from their children and work to rest and give undivided attention to each other. We encourage couples to make arrangements for childcare outside the event.

10.  Can my non-believing spouse attend with me?

Yes! The biblical principles of marriage is applicable to all marriages. As long as your spouse is willing to come, he or she is welcomed to.

11.  Is marriage counselling available at the event?

This event is a retreat designed to help couples build strong marriages. While the AOM team may not be able to offer counselling, we can refer you to qualified family counsellors. The AOM team is also available to listen and pray with you.

12.  Any other things to note?

You may wish to bring a cardigan / jacket in case the conference room is cold.
