In our Vision Statement, it is stated that "We at KKMC will be Faithful Disciples in Authentic Community engaged in Loving Outreach and Bold Witness to the Glory of God!"
We have so far focused on how to grow as and be "Faithful Disciples". For 2020, we will be focusing on growing as an "Authentic Community" which is "Connected and Caring".
And to help us do so, we are organising this very special Seminar where we all will be learning about forming "Spiritual Friendships" with each other, and why it is so very important for our lives as Christians in community. It is friendship that is rooted in Christ, for the purpose of growing in Christ. The basis of spiritual friendship is a shared relationship with Jesus Christ. The purpose of spiritual friendship is a common commitment to help one another grow in Christlikeness.
From Jesus’ friendship with His disciples we see that spiritual friendship has at least the following components: They loved one another, accepted one another, were loyal to each other, taught one another, corrected one another, shared their burdens with each other, and encouraged each other. There may be more dimensions to spiritual friendship but these seven are fundamental.
Our Guest speaker is Dr Tan Soo Inn from GRACEWORKS.
