(I) AED Training & Basic CPR Training
The church has recently procured some units of Automated External Defibrillators (‘AED’). In tandem, training on the use of the AEDs and simple Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (‘CPR’) will be conducted so that members can practically apply what they have learned to help others during emergencies.
There are 2 training dates. No fees required. You only need to attend one of the followings:
AED Training Dates Time Registration Closing Date
05 May 2018 (Sat) 10 am to 12 noon 29 Apr 2018
(II) Recruitment of First Responders
The Emergency Preparedness Working Committee was formed early this year to prepare, train and support the church to deal with emergencies which include the threat of terrorism.
As part of this effort, we are forming the First Responder Team (‘FRT’), an organised group of volunteers equipped with specialised training to respond to emergencies and assist the church in the recovery process. The main role of the FRT is to strengthen the emergency response capabilities of the church. All FRT members will be trained in Standard First Aid (‘SFA’), Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (‘CPR’) and Automated External Defibrillator (‘AED’), Managing Crisis Behaviour (‘MCB’) and other EP related courses to enable them to carry out duties in times of activation.
Do email Denisa Chin at to be part of the FRT team.
